The Advantages of Electric Vehicles
When it comes to the advantages of electric vehicles, there are many to choose from. Here are a few to consider: the Taycan sedan, the Nissan Leaf, the Kia Niro EV, and the EV6. Regardless of your preference, you can feel confident in either one. And since you don’t have to spend thousands of dollars on gas to get an electric car, you can afford to make the switch. Read on to learn more.
Taycan sedan
While the new Tesla Taycan sedan may be one of the most expensive cars on the road, it has been well received by the public. Its ride comfort is impressive, and it offers excellent insulation from road noise. However, its climate-control system is overly complicated, and there’s a significant amount of lag time when using virtual vent controls. On the upside, its auto mode is impressively effective, and there’s no need to change the settings every time you get inside.
Nissan Leaf
The Electric Nissan Leaf features a 30 kWh battery and a range of 280 km. Despite the increased size of the battery, the LEAF doesn’t sacrifice cabin space or charging time. The LEAF can be recharged to 80% in half an hour, as opposed to the two hours it took its predecessor to do the same. The Nissan LEAF is equipped with six airbags, stability and traction control, and front seat belt pretensioners, and uses LED headlights for safe and efficient lighting.
Kia Niro EV
The Kia Niro EV has a lot of standard features for a small electric car. It comes with an impressive 10.3-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration, and a Harman/Kardon stereo. The Niro EV is the second-longest-range EV tested, but it trails the Hyundai Kona by a few miles. This vehicle qualifies for the full $7,500 federal tax credit. Standard features include Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration, dual-zone climate control, and ventilated front seats.
Kia EV6
The new Kia EV6 electric SUV is a true front-drive contender. Its design is based on contrast and opposites, from its low roofline to its tall floor above the battery pack. The car is also smaller than a Ford Mustang Mach-E, but it doesn’t lack interior space. The rear seats fold flat to make a huge cargo area. The EV6’s rear seats are spacious enough to carry two small adults.
Kia EQS
The 2019 Kia EQS electric has been slated to go on sale in the U.S. early next year. But the EV isn’t going to be a pure electric car. It is a hybrid that offers a range of 80 miles, but doesn’t have the high-end features of a pure electric car. The Kia EQS electric is one of the cheapest EVs on the market, so it isn’t a good option for long trips. But it isn’t the only electric car on the market. In fact, Kia has been a pioneer in the electric vehicle market, and plans to introduce seven EV models by 2027.
